The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, emphasized that the BRICS and the New Bank of this instance (New Development Bank, NDB) have in Venezuela “a partner, an ally, a friend”, during his visit to the headquarters of the new BRICS Group Development Bank, located in Shanghai.
The President, referring to Rousseff, expressed his conviction that “the New BRICS Development Bank is in very good hands,” while greeting the representatives of Russia, India, China, South Africa, and all the advisors.
Among these, Vladimir Kazbekov, from Russia; Anil Kishora, from India; Qiangwu Zhou, from China, and another representative such as Leslie Maasdorp.
He shared with those present that he is in the Asian Giant “on a state tour of China,” highlighting his time in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, which he described as “truly impressive, it is fifty years ahead”.
“We are now visiting Shanghai making new agreements and associations for development, business and new economic steps,” he specified as part of the scope of the second point of his tour of the People’s Republic of China.

In his words at this mixed meeting, the Venezuelan Dignitary also said that he sees with “great admiration the entire process of the new world geopolitics,” because “without a doubt a new geopolitics has emerged.”
He thanked saying: “Thank you very much President Dilma, I am very happy to greet you, you are a great friend of Venezuela, you were a great friend of our commander Hugo Chávez and you were a great president of Brazil.”
