Venezuela invites BRICS countries to invest in the countryside

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, invited the BRICS member countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), to join the productive fields of the nation:

“I am going to invite the BRICS countries to invest in the fields of Venezuela, to produce food in Venezuela (…) To the Bank of the BRICS, to businessmen from the BRICS countries who come to produce with us, with our model,” he stressed.

The proposal arises in the context of the creation of the new Special Economic Zone of the Fields, which covers an area of 5,453,704 hectares in the Guárico, Anzoátegui, Monagas, Sucre and Bolívar states, announced by the Venezuelan Dignitary during the work journey dedicated to the development of the agro-productive potential of Venezuela,

Likewise, he ordered the Ministers of People’s Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, and for Productive Agriculture and Land, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, to resume productivity projects to expose them to the world.

The projects proposed by the Venezuelan President are:

– Family farms, communal farms up to those of larger scale and production.

– The productive economic circuits of the field.

– Financing processes for large investors.

The Head of State also encouraged the Venezuelan people to continue building and advancing in the diversified economic model despite the constant threats against the Homeland:

We ourselves are producing, we demonstrate it: blocked, persecuted, sanctioned and we are producing and we are moving forward. The imperialists of the United States could not defeat us, nor will they be able to defeat us. Never again! We are in a position to fight, to grow and produce (under) our model”, he declared.
