After personally accompanying the great mass march of the working class of Venezuela, which culminated in the presidential palace in Caracas, the national leader recalled that despite the criminal sanctions requested by the Venezuelan opposition leadership, the government he presides achieved, from January to April, to apply the indexation formula, which managed to increase the minimum income capacity for workers to 86%.

The president denounced the permanent blackmail by the North American empire and said that, after the United States’ announcement, partial losses of more than two billion dollars in income were generated for this quarter.

Despite this reality, he stated that with increasing taxes contributed by the export sector and individuals, which businessmen must contribute at this stage, work will be done on the progressive recovery of the income of active workers and pensioners, taking more and more advantage of the new generation great missions together with the Socialist Missions system, to guarantee the social rights of the population.

He expressed that Venezuela, despite the criminal sanctions, is able to say that bygone times will remain bygone:

“I will not rest for a single second until we bring the income and rights of workers to the levels that Commander Chávez left us; with our own efforts, with a productive economy, with the generation of wealth, and we will return to times of justice and equality in order to build worker socialism, our Christian socialism.”
