Plasencia arrives in Colombia to present Credentials to the government of that nation

The designated ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Colombia, Félix Plasencia, arrived in Bogotá this Sunday, August 28, 2022.

The purpose of the travel is to present credentials to the Government of that nation:

“We are very eager to advance in the Diplomacy of Peace, in this second opportunity that history gives us, of restarting Diplomatic Relations between two sisterly nations”, wrote Plasencia on Twitter.

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appointed on Thursday, August 11, the former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Félix Plasencia, as ambassador to Colombia, within the framework of the process for the reestablishment of bilateral relations.

The president of the Republic of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, also announced the appointment of Armando Benedetti as the new ambassador of his country to Venezuela.

In turn, Benedetti also arrived in Venezuelan territory this Sunday in order to present Credentials to the government of Nicolás Maduro Moros
