President Maduro: The time has come for a new union for Latin America and the Caribbean


“The time has come for a new union for Latin America and the Caribbean,” expressed Nicolás Maduro, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, this Wednesday during the 5th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the bloc, held in Dominican Republic.

He also emphasized that through mechanisms such as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the countries of South America, the Caribbean and Central America have joined forces to build a new panorama of consensus and integration of the Americas.

In that event he also called “to face together and united the challenges of this world that gets moved and moves.” In addition, the Head of State thanked this Wednesday the support of the CELAC in rejection to the Executive Order of the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, in which he considers Venezuela as a threat to the American nation.

Finally, he pointed out that Latin America and the Caribbean united will succeed in reversing any threat of imperial forces that aim to affect the peoples of the region.
