Revealed terrorist plan organized in Colombia to attack Venezuela in the next 15 days

The Sectoral Vice President for Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, reported on terrorist plans that would be carried out in the country on August 17 and that contemplated the placement of explosives at the headquarters of the Palace of Justice of Caracas and the headquarters of the Special Actions Forces (FAES) of Cotiza.
During a press conference from Miraflores Palace, the Minister said that thanks to the people’s intelligence, suspicious black bags were discovered at the headquarters of both agencies, whose interior contained explosives of the C-4 kind:
“Members of the People’s Power noticed the existence of suspicious bags thrown at FAES headquarters in Cotiza and in the 23 de Enero parish, they communicated with the explosives division, and that is when they realize they are loaded with c-4 to make them explode”.
Rodriguez said that, after the artifacts were found, a series of investigations were activated that ended in the capture of one of those involved, a Colombian national named Luis Ricardo Gomes Peñaranda, arrested on August 29 with explosive material in his power.
In the interrogations carried out on Luis Ricardo Gomes Peñaranda, are confirmed the planning and coordination of the attacks in Colombian territory, directed by Julio Borges as an intellectual author, as well as the participation of Clíver Antonio Alcalá Cordones (aka César, head of the Colombian terrorist unit ), and Rayder Ruso aka “Pico” (the latter requested by the assault on the 41st Armored Brigade and the case of the frustrated assassination) all located within Colombian territory.
“The screenshots of the cell phone of terrorist Gómez Peñaranda show the conversations and photographs of the points where the explosives should be placed”, said the Sectoral Vice President for Communication, Tourism and Culture.
Rodríguez stressed that they are in the search of Fred Armando Mavares Zambrano, a former police officer of the Chacao municipality, and of Esteban Miranda, a former police officer of the Independencia municipality of Miranda state, involved in the terrorist operation called “Fuerza de Libertad” (Force of Freedom) and whose objective was to carry out systematic terrorist activities and the placement of explosive devices.
He said that according to the evidences found on the cell phone and by the testimony of Gómez Peñaranda, in the next 15 days, actions were to be planned to blow up with explosives different places in Venezuela, including the Caracas downtown, the Simon Bolivar Towers and the block 40 from the 23 de Enero parish. He also reported the operation of three camps, one of them led by fugitive from justice Clíver Alcalá, who recruits and trains paramilitaries to commit terrorist actions on Venezuelan soil.
Paramilitary camps:
Minister Jorge Rodríguez stressed that the Venezuelan government has the exact location of the places where three paramilitary camps are located, in which paramilitaries are recruited and trained to assassinate and generate anxiety in Venezuela; Maicao, Río Hacha and the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta:
“One of the camps is only minutes away from the border of Venezuela with Colombia (…) The location of the second camp is in the department of La Guajira. The third camp is located in Sierra Nevada and is used to train paramilitaries under the guidance of Cliver Alcalá”, denounced the Minister.
Jorge Rodríguez stressed that the Government of president Iván Duque must act and curb these actions that threaten the peace of the country:
“Colombia is obliged to act against these paramilitaries (…) More than 200 men with weapons are being trained in Colombian territory. Until when, do you think it’s normal to plan to kill citizens? If an act was generated at the border with these paramilitaries, Venezuela would respond directly against these terrorists”, he said.
He also cataloged as an unfortunate fact that the position of the current Government of Colombia has turned the development of politics in that country into a threat against Venezuela: “Every time an action appears to attack the Venezuelan men and women, everything leads to Colombia, everything leads to President Duque, to Uribe”, he said.
