The President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro announced this Thursday the appointment of Jorge Arreaza as the new Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements.
This was stated by the Venezuelan Head of State from the Poliedro de Caracas (Caracas Polyhedron) during the installation ceremony of the 2nd Congress of the Working Class.
In his words, President Maduro thanked outgoing minister Noris Herrera for her two-year work at the head of the office.
He emphasized that the immediate responsibility of the new minister Jorge Arreaza will be to tour the Nation in order to advance in the construction of socialism in the territory together with the communes of the entire country:
“I have decided to appoint comrade Jorge Arreaza as the new Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, so that he will go touring the country, inch by inch, throughout the territory together with the communes”, he said.
