Was installed Venezuela-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group

With the presence of the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, and the Russian Ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, was installed the Venezuela-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas.

The act that began with a tour of a photographic exhibition arranged in the gardens of the Parliament, is part of the relations of diplomatic, political, economic and commercial cooperation maintained by both nations.

Last July, Chancellor Carlos Faría paid a visit to Russia as part of the 211th anniversary of the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence, as a sign of the will to strengthen bilateral relations.

During that visit, the Venezuelan Chancellor met his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, where a joint declaration was issued to promote projects in the energy, aeronautics, and pharmaceutical sectors, among others.
