Minister Quevedo arrived in Abu Dhabi to chair OPEC meeting

The Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum and current president of the Conference of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Manuel Quevedo, arrived this Tuesday at Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, to chair the 16th Ministerial Meeting of the Committee of Joint monitoring of OPEC + nations.
During the 15th Meeting, held in Vienna, Austria, last July 2019, it was agreed to extend the voluntary adjustment of production for 9 more months, until March 31, 2020, in order to contribute to the balance in the world hydrocarbons market.
The Declaration of Cooperation of the OPEC + nations was reached in 2016 thanks to an effort in which Venezuela played a fundamental role in the realization of this initiative in defense of the stability of the oil market.
Minister Quevedo attends this instance to hold a meeting with the OPEC + nations in order to continue formulating strategies that translate into the stability and balance of the oil market.
