In this sense, she indicated that these attacks “have tried to attack the brain of the bank and degrade the functioning of the system”, and additionally pointed out that it is one of the actions that try to hinder the successful implementation of Bolívar Digital from next October 1st.
She explained that after detecting the attack, the system and specialists of the Bank of Venezuela activated the protection mechanisms of the data, information and amounts of the users, suspending the service and initiating a recovery process that took 130 hours to reinforce it: “Bank workers spent almost 130 hours without sleep”.

Permanent attacks:
When delving into this situation, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez denounced that this aggression is part of a campaign of permanent attacks against public services and public banks in the country: “Banco de Venezuela is not just any bank, it is the largest bank in the country”.
She said that it comes to attention the presence of the chief of the Southern Command, Craig Faller, currently in Colombia, as well as the meetings held in Spain between the fugitive from justice Leopoldo López and Colombian president Iván Duque:
“Days before the attack on the Banco de Venezuela, Leopoldo López and Iván Duque met to plan more conspiracy, why? Because the tick-tock came to Duque, because in a few days he will leave the presidency and the empire demands more attacks from him”, she said.
She stated that this hacking action adds to the theft of assets and resources, in addition to the financial blockade and unilateral coercive actions against the people of Venezuela, which in recent days have increased to also undermine the dialogue process installed in Mexico:
“It was they (Guaidó’s gang) who called for blockades against the people of Venezuela and now they want to wash their faces (…) Ivan Duque attacks the dialogue process in Venezuela every day, he has a deep hatred against Venezuela, against the Venezuelan people”, she concluded.
