The group of assailants, assigned to the zone command number 43 of the Bolivarian National Guard, who stole, early this Monday, a batch of weapons from the headquarters of the urban security detachment located in Petare, in the Sucre municipality, confessed to having been deceived.
The statement was made by the president of the National Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, who stressed that the detainees said they “had been promised the earth and the moon, and were left alone.”
He continued by pointing out that the assailants, who were neutralized and captured in record time by members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), are being processed in absolute respect of human rights.
Cabello praised the performance of the FANB, which responded with firmness to “the attacks against the homeland and its institutionality”, which sought once again to attempt against the peace of the Venezuelan people.
