Venezuela repudiates usurpation of the Presidency of Bolivia

The Government of Venezuela expressed through a communiqué its repudiation of the illegal self-proclamation as the alleged president of Bolivia of Senator Jeanine Áñez, who assumed that position in the Legislative Assembly of that country, without having the necessary quorum to meet:
“Venezuela expresses its firm rejection of yesterday’s parody in the Bolivian Legislative Assembly, with the illegal self-proclamation of a parliamentarian as alleged Head of State, without having the quorum to meet, and denouncing the Organization of American States (OAS) as an instrument of the coup”, said the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, on the Twitter social network.
In the statement, the Venezuelan government shows concern about the recurrence of self-proclamation formulas “used by the coup-plotting right wing in the region to seize the political power they are not able to get with the votes of their peoples”.

Venezuela categorically rejects parody of self-proclamation in Bolivia
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its firm rejection of the parody represented yesterday in the Bolivian Legislative Assembly, which resulted in the illegal self-proclamation of a parliamentarian as alleged Head of State, an act with which it has been intended to give a sign of nature and legitimacy of the forced deposition of the legitimate President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, comrade Evo Morales Ayma.
The recurrence of these formulas used by the coup-plotting right wing of the region to take over the political power they are not able to achieve with the votes of their peoples, through twisted interpretations of the constitutional norms on the ascent and succession to Head of State, as they have shown in the successive coups d’etat in Venezuela in 2002, Honduras in 2009, Paraguay in 2012, Brazil in 2016, the usurpation of the office of Vice President in Ecuador in 2018, the frustrated attempt of usurpation in Venezuela in 2019 and finally the grotesque event of yesterday in Bolivia.
This spurious action was public, notorious and communicational, when it took place with the assistance of only one third of the parliamentarians, far from the necessary quorum for the Legislative Assembly to be able to legally meet. the main instrument of imperialism to execute the coup d’etat in Bolivia, through the development of a false electoral audit and the justification of what happened on the basis of unfounded arguments of fraud, and in keeping with the rancid, violent and racist Bolivian oligarchy.
Venezuela repudiates the usurpation of the Presidency of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and calls on the international community to assist in the restitution of the constitutional order, rejecting the parliamentary scam that is intended to be imposed on the Andean country brother and that inevitably leads to a greater political and social instability”.
