The Venezuela-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group was reinstated at the headquarters of the National Assembly in Caracas with the aim of promoting and strengthening bilateral relations.
It should be noted that this Parliamentary Friendship Group is chaired by Representative Nicolás Maduro Guerra, who highlighted the importance of unity and peace between nations:
«We reinstated the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Venezuela and Japan! One more step to strengthen our bilateral relations and work together for a future full of opportunities,» he stated.
He also noted that both countries are about to celebrate the anniversary of their diplomatic relations and expressed the parliamentary group’s willingness to serve as a tool for rapprochement and the consolidation of projects for the multidimensional development of relations.
Likewise, Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh, was present at the event, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday in a post on its Instagram account.
A video was also presented by former Japanese representative Masahiro Imamura, who was the former president of the Japan-Venezuela Parliamentary Friendship League, who emphasized the important ties between the two nations and the need to continue strengthening their friendship.
Also present at the event were parliamentarians José Villaroel, vice president of the group; América Pérez, second vice president of Parliament; José Castillo, Ekalov González, Jesús Santander, and Rigel Sergent.
