The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, met with His Highness Emir Sheikh in Qatar, within the framework of her official visit that began on Tuesday to strengthen the ties of cooperation and brotherhood between both nations.
As part of the Peace Diplomacy promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, heads the official delegation that arrived in Qatar on Tuesday night, on an official visit to review topics of interest in all areas.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rodríguez conveyed to his Highness the Emir the greetings of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro Moros along with his wishes of good health and happiness for his Highness and greater development and prosperity for the Qatari people.
On his behalf, His Highness Emir Sheikh entrusted the Executive Vice President with her greetings to President Maduro, wishing him health and well-being and continued progress and development for the people of Venezuela.
In this context, it is important to remember that since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, both peoples have signed various bilateral agreements in the economic, judicial, customs, oil, sports, air transport areas, among others.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has maintained diplomatic relations with the Middle Eastern country since 1973, at the highest level and under samples of mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation for mutual benefit and in order to preserve its sovereignty and self-determination.
In this high-level meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways to take them to a new level, in addition to the agenda of issues of common interest.
