FANB will not allow armed groups to settle on our sacred land

“No armed group, whatever its political ideology, nature or origin may settle on our sacred land to commit a crime.”

The overwhelming affirmation corresponds to the sectoral vice president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister of People’s Power for Defense, General in Chief Vladimir Padrino López.

The Venezuelan Defense Minister, through a message via Twitter, attached a video showing the deputy to the National Assembly, Héctor Orlando Zambrano, who made a public acknowledgement to the FANB for the recent action in Apure state against drug trafficking.

In this regard, General in Chief Padrino López, reiterated that “There is no other truth than that announced in a clear way by the Deputy for Apure state to the AN, Héctor Orlando Zambrano.”

Let’s remember that the FANB on Sunday, March 21, 2021, held clashes with armed Colombian irregular groups, in the La Coromoto sector of the José Antonio Páez municipality of Apure state, an action that achieved the neutralization of one of the leaders, the destruction of camps, and the confiscation of weapons, ammunition, explosives, vehicles and drugs.

Unfortunately, two FANB officers died, who offered their lives in the fulfillment of their duty to defend national sovereignty.
