President Maduro urges to guarantee the right of women to have a respected birth and delivery

“If we want to build a humanity of new values, it is necessary to do it from the womb of the mother,” said this Monday the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on the occasion of commemorating the International Day for the Rights of Birth and Respected Delivery.

In his account on the Twitter social network, the head of state ratified his faithful commitment to defending the rights of Venezuelan women to “guarantee a system of comprehensive accompanying before and during childbirth.”

It is important to remember that the National President has promoted protection policies for Venezuelan women, and one of them is the Humanized Childbirth and breastfeeding Plan, which guarantees the care, accompaniment and monitoring of pregnant women and future mothers and thus as a comprehensive care until childbirth.

On this World Day for the Rights of Birth and Respected Childbirth, we extol that in Venezuela the Humanized Childbirth Plan is deployed by each community to provide care until delivery, at which time both the mother and the baby deserve to be protected.
