Venezuela and Russia will participate in combined operational flights

On Monday, the Bolivarian Government welcomed more than 100 men and women, members of the Russian Air Force, who are visiting our country to participate in the Russia-Venezuela combined operational flights for 2018.

The activity was carried out on ramp No. 4 of the Simón Bolívar International Airport, in Maiquetía, and was presided over by the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, who highlighted that both nations have built a true friendship:

“Welcome to the Homeland of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and the Commander Hugo Chávez (…) Russia-Venezuela relations have been building a friendship, more than a cooperation”, he told to those present.

The Russia-Venezuela combined operational flights for 2018, represent a demonstration of strength that will aim at the integration of aviation means, both Russian and Venezuelan, in terms of military technical cooperation and the exchange of experiences:

“We are preparing to defend Venezuela, up to the last step whenever necessary, that we will do with our friends, who defend respectful relations between States”, added Padrino López.

For his part, Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Vladimir Zaemskiy, said that military cooperation between the two nations is developing with great success: “Long live Venezuela! Long live Russia! Long live the Russian-Venezuelan friendship!” He exclaimed.
