Venezuela proposes to create ALBA research network

Venezuela proposed creating a critical research network that generates proposals and documents, to support governments and popular organizations in decision-making.

The initiative was raised by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, during the meeting of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).

“It is not enough to think and reflect, we have to act,” said the Venezuelan Chancellor, who believes that with the battle of ideas, it is possible for projects to gain popular support.

Venezuela urged the 47 intellectuals who connected to the meeting from 19 thought centers in America, Africa and Europe, to collaborate with the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas, to think together in a coordinated way, to visualize a post-capitalist world, in which humanity, solidarity and social justice prevail.
