COVID: 876 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours

A total of 876 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, raising the accumulated total of infections to 201,807, while the recovery rate remains at 91 percent, adding 184,161 healed patients thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced on Tuesday by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during the customary daily balance of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

She reported that the community cases of the day were detected (by state) in: Yaracuy (181), Lara (100), Zulia (86), Apure (66), La Guaira (62), Barinas (59), Bolívar (59), Carabobo ( 41), Delta Amacuro (37), Caracas (34), Monagas (31), Sucre (29), Portuguesa (24), Miranda (20), Falcón (14), Trujillo (8), Anzoátegui (6), Guárico (5), Nueva Esparta (4), Aragua (3), and Amazonas (2).

The entity with the highest number of community cases is Yaracuy (181), with active infections in 11 municipalities; It is followed by states Lara (100) and Zulia (86).

She highlighted that, of the imported cases, 3 come from Peru and 2 from the Dominican Republic, with entry through La Guaira state.

She reported the unfortunate death of 19 new victims by COVID-19

A 75 years old man and a 42 years old woman– Nueva Esparta

A 53-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman – Anzoátegui

A 63-year-old man- Carabobo

A 62-year-old man- Mérida

A 55-year-old man- Monagas

4 men 24, 69, 80 and 68 years old; and a 84-year-old woman – Caracas

3 men 68, 57 and 69 years old, and a 68 years old woman – Miranda

2 men aged 73 and 65, and a woman aged 65 – Sucre

She reiterated that in Venezuela we continue to advance with the 7 + 7 plan, devised by President Nicolás Maduro. We are in the week of radical, voluntary and conscious quarantine; prevention and protection is the best antidote to face the Coronavirus. Let’s take care of ourselves for health and life!
