In order to install the Statistical Committee, framed in the National Statistical and Geographic System, to improve the management of the State, the Sectorial Vice President and Minister of People’s Power for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, held a work meeting with the Sectoral Vice President for the Social and Territorial Development Aristóbulo Istúriz.
In this sense, Menéndez assured that in the next few days a field survey will be carried out in the Mission Bases with the aim of «Go migrating from the National Statistical System to the Registry System in order to improve the management of services, simplify procedures and strengthen the Social Comptroller’s Office”.
Likewise, Vice President Menéndez pointed out that “In the face of imperialist aggression, in the face of the challenge resulting from the development of the Homeland Plan, building socialism, achieving the SDGs of 2030 in 2025, means being more and more efficient”, therefore He asserted that “there will be quarterly statistical data on how social policies are going.”
For his part, the Sectoral Vice President for Social and Territorial Development, Aristóbulo Istúriz, affirmed that it is a priority to have a single system of indicators in social matters, to be more efficient in management, while requesting his counterpart Ricardo Menéndez to that the Ministry of People’s Power for Planning and the National Geographic and Statistical Committee establish a single registration scheme.
Regarding this, Istúriz stressed “We need a single social system of indicators, unique and that is why we ask Vice President Menéndez for his help, because Planning is at the head of the country, has the responsibility of registering indicators and knows where to move.”
It is noteworthy that during this meeting representatives of the ministries of the social area, servants and servants of the National Institute of Statistics and the Ministry of People’s Power for Planning participated.
