Have been registered more than 30,000 nominations for candidates to the ANC


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that more than 30,000 Venezuelans have applied to join the National Constituent Assembly (ANC).

The process, which began on May 31, was extended until Friday, June 2 by a decision of the National Electoral Council (CNE).

The Head of State, recalled that from Saturday, June 3 will begin the process of collecting signatures to support the postulates as candidates to the National Constituent Assembly.

He called on the patriot people and organizations conglomerated in the Congress of the Homeland to join in the collection, “Let the wave of the constituent grow, so that the popular wave grows”, he said.

The Head of State announced the candidacies of some political leaders of Chavismo: Diosdado Cabello, Delcy Rodríguez, Cilia Flores, Carmen Teresa Meléndez Rivas, Aristóbulo Istúriz, Adan Chávez.

In addition, Professor and lawyer Hermann Escarrá, the Venezuelan ambassador to Italy Isaías Rodríguez, Captain Juan Escalona, (as well as) the host of the “La Hojilla” TV show, Mario Silva.

The Head of State acknowledged the support of the revolutionary people and the working class to the ANC, “Chavismo will not be stopped by anyone”, he said.
