COVID: Venezuela registers 94% of recovered patients and 377 infections this Sunday

This Sunday, in Venezuela, 377 COVID-19 infections have been detected, of which 348 are of community origin and 29 imported cases from the Dominican Republic, Panama, Mexico, Turkey and Colombia.

Likewise, Zulia state was determined as the entity with the highest number of infections with 91 affected, followed by La Guaira (64) and Caracas (54), of the latter the parishes with the highest number of cases are El Valle, Catia, Altagracia, Caricuao and Car. Venezuela registers 94 percent of recovered patients and 6,557 active cases.

The information was released by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, offering a balance of the actions taken by the Presidential Commission for the Attention and Control of the disease in the country in the last 7 days.

For his part, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, pointed out that in this first year of attention to the pandemic, 435 new cases and 447 recovered per day were reported, on average.

During 2021, a weekly increase was observed throughout the month of January, said the President, however, from the first week of February, a slight decrease began that has been maintained throughout the month, while the first two weeks we had 15 active cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

For the fifth week it rose to the detection of 21 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, remaining so during the first two weeks of February and for the third it fell to 20, a figure that remains to this day of 20 active cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

In this sense, President Maduro detailed by region the status of infection diagnoses.

This week 8 entities had growth: Caracas, La Guaira, Anzoátegui, Apure, Bolívar, Cojedes, Guárico and Sucre; 9 entities maintained a stable trend, among them: Amazonas, Aragua, Barinas, Delta Amacuro, Falcón, Monagas, Portuguesa, Yaracuy and Zulia; while 7 entities had a decrease in cases: Carabobo, Lara, Mérida, Miranda, Nueva Esparta, Táchira and Trujillo”.

Similarly, he assured that currently the states with the highest number of active cases are: Caracas (1,682), Miranda (995), Zulia (921), La Guaira (534), Yaracuy (258), Mérida (248) and Táchira ( 240).

While the highest rates in active cases per 100,000 inhabitants are located in La Guaira (140), Caracas (80), Yaracuy (34) and Miranda (30).

He also regretted that in the last 24 hours three people lost the battle against the virus, from states Miranda, Caracas and Apure.

Finally, the Dignitary announced that “soon we will have very good news about the production of the Carvativir and the DR-10; two powerful antivirals created in Venezuela ”and that are currently in the mass production process, under the strictest scientific and sanitary controls.
