Chancellor Arreaza describes actions of Duque and UNHCR on Venezuela as cynicism

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, described the actions of the President of Colombia, Iván Duque, as cynicism, when meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Filippo Grandi.

“The operation to try to wash the face of Iván Duque, a man who has promoted the blockade against Venezuela (which generates suffering and migration), is infamous,” he said on his official account on Twitter.

In another message, the Chancellor affirmed that the goal of Duque and UNHCR is “to receive fresh money from “donors”, which are in turn the governments that block Venezuela to make the people suffer.”

Duque announced a decree to “regularize” Venezuelan migrants who are in Colombia, supported by UNHCR. However, has been linked to mercenaries in plans to generate destabilization in the country.
