COVID: Venezuela registers 413 new cases in the last 24 hours

Venezuela registered 413 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, 404 of community transmission and 9 imported cases, announced the sectoral vice-president for Communication Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez.

From his Twitter account @LuchaAlmada he reported that «community cases are distributed in: Caracas (88), Lara (67), Miranda (42), Táchira (35), Yaracuy (31), La Guaira (25), Trujillo (30), Zulia (24), Falcón (18), Mérida (15), Nueva Esparta (8), Anzoátegui (7), Aragua (5), Carabobo (4), Apure (2), Barinas (1), Monagas (1), Guárico (1)”.

Likewise, he highlighted that «the entity with the highest number of infections is the Capital District in 17 of its parishes: Sucre (20), El Valle (12), San Juan (9), Altagracia (9), Caricuao (8), Santa Rosalía (4), El Recreo (4), La Vega (4), Antímano (3), La Pastora (3), El Paraíso (2), among others».

About the 9 imported cases, he highlighted that «4 come from Turkey, 4 from Mexico with entry through La Guaira and 1 from Colombia, with entry through Táchira state».

The Minister of Communication and Information also pointed out that a total of 24,525 confirmed cases have been registered, of which 116,785 patients have been recovered, which represents a recovery rate of 94% of the contagions.

In turn, he wrote that there are currently 6,581 active cases in the country, of which 6,451 are being treated in the public health system, 130 in private clinics and none in home isolation.

«3,157 patients are asymptomatic, 3,048 with mild Acute Respiratory Insufficiency, 268 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Insufficiency and 108 in the Intensive Care Units”, said Ñáñez.

He regretted the death of 5 Venezuelans due to this virus: «22 women, 71 and 72 years old, from Trujillo state, a 73 years old woman from Nueva Esparta state, a 36 years old man from Caracas, a 92 years old woman from Lara state. Condolences to their families and loved ones,» stressed the sectoral vice-president.

Finally, he stressed that «up to today, 2,586,347 tests have been performed. This represents 86,212 tests per million inhabitants».
