The workers of the Siderurgica del Orinoco (Orinoco Steel Company – SIDOR) continue to work on the production of oxygen to send it to the Brazilian states of Amazonas and Roraima, attending to the existing health crisis in those locations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was stated by the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, who sent a special recognition to the employees of the oxygen plant located in Ciudad Guayana, Bolívar state:

“Solidarity! From Venezuela we continue to supply oxygen to attend to the health crisis in the Amazon and Roraima states of Brazil,” said the Venezuelan diplomat through a message from his account on the Twitter social network.

The message was accompanied by a video showing Sidor workers at the company’s facilities at 11:00 pm, dispatching oxygen to Brazil and ratifying their commitment to serve Venezuela and the world.

It should be noted that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela made a first shipment of six tank trucks with more than 130,000 liters of oxygen on January 18, to care for patients with COVID-19 who have respiratory deficiencies, after the health collapse generated by the accelerated increase in infections in the neighboring country.
