People's Guard will expand capacity of actions to strengthen security

The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, said this Tuesday that soon will be activated a special plan to strengthen the work of the People’s Guard across the country.
«I just gave the order to the General Commander of the National Guard, Major General Benavides Torres, in order to immediately activate a plan to restore and expand the capacity of action of the People’s Guard,» said the Head of State during his program «Contacto con Maduro» (Contact with Maduro), broadcast from the «Sol del Peru» Hall in Miraflores Palace.
He also announced the appointment of Jhonny Jesus Galván Garcia as the new Commander of the People’s Guard, «For him, with his knowledge, his pedagogy and capacity, along with Benavides will take this responsibility».
«The People’s Guard comes with its methodology, with its military amd ideological organizational preparation, to build security for the people. (…) I want that recent graduates to be transferred to join the ranks of this team, which is a body of a special strength», said the President.
