National Executive recommends getting booster vaccine against COVID-19

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged the Venezuelan population to get the booster vaccine against COVID-19, given the new wave of infections worldwide:

We have to keep getting the reinforcement. In Venezuela we have achieved a high level of protection for the people,” said the head of state during the Graduation Ceremony for Specialist Doctors and Nurses of the National Public Health System, which took place in the Auditorium of the Military Academy in Caracas.

He recalled that the National Executive faced the waves of the pandemic with the measures taken on time: “Despite the sanctions, Venezuela maintains the lowest levels of infections and mortality in the world against COVID-19.”

On December 12, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, led the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, with the purpose of supervising the progress of the Immunization Plan that is carried out throughout the national territory.

Said meeting was attended by the Spanish professor, Gorka Orive Arroyo, from Stanford University.
