COVID: Venezuela detects 604 new infections in the last 24 hours

This Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, announced through her official account on the Twitter social network that the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 has detected a total of 604 new infections in the national territory: 602 community cases and 2 imported cases.

In one of the tweets, she highlighted that the Capital District is the entity where the most new community cases were detected today (108), with active infections in 18 parishes; followed by states Merida (91) and Lara (58).

In addition: “We inform that in the last hours 6 Venezuelans lost their lives because of the virus: A 63 years old woman and a 65 years old man from Barinas, a 69 years old man from Trujillo, a 47 years old man from the Capital District, a 43 years old man from Anzoátegui, and a 60 years old woman from Lara”, highlighted Delcy Rodríguez.

She also added that the general statistics of the pandemic in Venezuela up to the present date are – Total number of infections: 118,415 – Patients recovered: 111,999 (95%) – Current active cases: 5,326 – Total number of deaths: 1,090
