The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on Saturday saluted the jubilee that lives the people of Zulia state, to celebrate the 308 years of the appearance of the Virgin of Chiquinquirá (The “Chinita”) on the shores of Lake Maracaibo.
“I greet the people of Zulia who today celebrates the Day of the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, who covers with her miraculous mantle and her blessings as a loving mother to our entire country”.
The message was published through his account on the Twitter social network, accompanied by a video in tribute to the celebration.
The Basilica Church Our Lady of Rosario de la Chiquinquirá, located in Maracaibo, capital of Zulia State, welcomed on Friday her parishioners, who united in prayer thanked their spiritual mother for favors granted and prayed for peace and unity of Venezuelans.
