Day 281 of the fight against COVID-19: Venezuela registers 373 new community cases, 65 imported and maintains a recovery rate of 95%

A total of 373 new cases of community transmission and 65 imported COVID-19 cases were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, to raise the total number of infections to 110,513, while the rate of recovered is at 95 percent of all cases, adding 104,799 healings with free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced by the Sectoral Vice President of Communication, Tourism and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, in his accounts on social networks, after the work session of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

Regarding the cases of community transmission, he specified that they are distributed as follows (by state):

Moreover, of the 65 imported cases, he indicated that 30 come from the Dominican Republic, 27 from Turkey, 7 from Panama and 1 from Mexico, all with entry through La Guaira state.

He explained that to date there are 4,721 active cases, 4,334 are being treated in the Public Health System, 16 in private clinics and 371 in home isolation.

He reported that 2,152 of the patients are asymptomatic, 2,293 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 227 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 49 in Intensive Care Units.

He also specified that in the last 24 hours there were five (5) deaths from this virus: 2 women, aged 78 and 82, from Lara state; 2 men aged 69 and 42 from Yaracuy, and 1 man aged 43 from Táchira state.

Finally, he reported that until today, Venezuela has carried out 2,391,908 tests. Which represents 79,730 tests per million inhabitants.
