CNE approved reform of Regulation of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes

The National Electoral Council approved the reform of Title 14th of the Regulation of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes (LOPRE), regarding national electoral observation and international accompaniment.

It was known that with this modification is introduced a replacement of the terminology used up to this moment, with the institution of the national electoral oversight and the international electoral oversight.

This reform is based on the experience accumulated by the electoral body in this matter and by the current regulation itself, which conditions the presence of observers based on principles such as non-interference, sovereignty and respect for the authorities.

Through a press release of the CNE, it was known that the agency, in its capacity as impartial arbitrator, promotes participation in terms of equity and respect for pluralism, with the maximum guarantees of transparency and reliability in view of the renewal of the authorities of the Venezuelan Parliament.
