ANC approves Anti-Blockade Law Project

The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved – unanimously – this Thursday the Anti-Blockade Law for Constitutional Development and Guarantees for Human Rights, presented by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to face the imperial attacks and to re-boost the productive apparatus of the country.

Meanwhile, during this Thursday’s session the debate of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) took place where Chapters I and II of the Anti-Blockade Law for National Development and the Guarantee of Human Rights were approved, in order to create a compensatory system of wages and real income of workers and measures for economic and productive balance.

In this sense, in the course of this same debate session, the president of the National Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, affirmed that this Law is an instrument to protect the country’s economy, in the face of the constant attacks by the United States government, the which seek to destabilize the country.

In this regard, Cabello indicated, “let us remember that once the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approves the text of this Constitutional Law, the Executive will present it to the Council of State for this body to request the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) its opinion on the constitutionality of this Anti-Blockade Law”, explained Diosdado Cabello.

He also added that “all this is to shield us, not only for the conjunctural and political moment, but to shield us against the imperialist blockade from now on, legally, ethically, to shield the nation”, said the president of the ANC.
