534 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed this Sunday in Venezuela

Venezuela registers this Sunday 534 new coronavirus cases, of which 470 are of community transmission and 64 imported. With these figures, the country reaches 15,463 infections by Covid-19 and unfortunately four new deaths are reported for a total of 142 deaths, as reported the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

During the balance offered by the Vice President, in a video conference with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, it was detailed that 199 of the community infections were detected in the Capital District.

The new infections are registered mainly in 20 of the 22 parishes in Caracas. The affected parishes are: 46 infections in El Valle, 28 in Altagracia, 16 in Sucre, 12 in El Recreo, 9 in 23 de Enero, 8 in El Junquito, 8 in San Juan, 8 in El Paraíso, 7 in Caricuao, 7 in La Vega, 4 in La Candelaria, 4 in Santa Rosalía, 4 in Coche, 4 in Macarao, 4 in San Agustín, 3 in Antímano, 2 in La Pastora, 2 in Santa Teresa, 1 in San Bernardino, 1 in San Pedro.

Miranda registers 59 new cases: 27 in the Sucre Municipality, Petare; 15 in Baruta, 3 in Los Teques, 2 in Guatire, and in other municipalities that total the number of new cases this Sunday.

Zulia presents 45 new cases, Táchira with 29, Bolívar 29, Sucre 29, Mérida 25, Aragua 12, Guárico 12, Lara 10, Trujillo 7, Carabobo 7, Nueva Esparta 4, Anzoátegui 1, Monagas 1 and Apure with 1 as well.

Regarding the 64 imported cases, 60 come from Colombia, 38 entered through Apure, 22 through Táchira, 2 are coming from Peru, 1 from Ecuador and 1 from Brazil, who entered through Bolívar state.

To date, Venezuela reports 9,746 people recovered, which represents 63%, 5,575 active cases of which 4,455 are asymptomatic, 1,029 with mild symptoms, 75 with moderate symptoms, and 26 patients in intensive care.

Today, four fatalities are reported, male victims in the states of Carabobo, Zulia, Lara and Sucre, bringing the death toll to 142.
