Spanish media failed in their attacks against Venezuela

«If anything has characterized the Spanish private media, it has been the evil intention of trying to give an image to the world of Venezuela that amazes even those people who do not share the Bolivarian ideal when they visit the country and find a completely different reality».

This was stated on Monday by the Minister for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, when making an analysis about the interview granted by the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, to the Spanish journalist Jordi Évole, and the matrixes that intend to show Venezuela in the international media as a country dominated by a dictatorship.

During the editorial broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, Minister Rodríguez pointed out that the vast majority of the international media expected the interview with the President «rubbing their hands, because they assumed that Maduro would be taken out of his own hands (…) even the staging with little illumination due to alleged technical failures, was designed to give an atmosphere of darkness».

The interview generated different responses in media and social networks, where is acknowledged the ferocity of the questions to the Head of State and the balance in his answers, said Rodriguez.
