President Maduro: Opposition will participate in elections to the National Assembly


The Bolivarian Revolution, the democratic opposition and sectors linked to the self-proclaimed deputy Juan Guaidó, have expressed their willingness to participate in the elections to the National Assembly in 2020, as reported by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro:
“I have received messages from all opposition sectors to register candidates in the elections for the National Parliament next year. I welcome the willingness of all opposition sectors”, said the National President during a national joint radio and television broadcast.
He indicated that the National Dialogue Board evaluates the conformation of the commission that will study the aforementioned issue, as well as the Homeland Bloc will consign a document before the National Assembly in contempt next Tuesday, November 5 to discuss the election of a new board of directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE):
“I think it is a good gesture, and we are studying it, that there is a dialogue in the adeco(*)-bourgeois National Assembly between the sector of Juan Guaidó, the Chavismo and the democratic opposition signing the agreement signed at the National Dialogue Board”, he said.
(*) Refers to anything or anyone belonging to the Acción Democrática (AD) right-wing party.
