Venezuela and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea reaffirm cooperation ties


The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea expressed their willingness to reaffirm cooperation ties within the framework of the visit of a delegation headed by the president of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Diosdado Cabello, to the Asian nation, in the which delivered a personal letter written by President Nicolás Maduro to his counterpart, Kim Jong Un.
Upon arrival, Cabello received parliamentary honors, the tribute took place at the Mansudae Congress Palace, and was headed by the president of the Supreme People’s Assembly (APS) of Korea, Pak Thae Song.
During the welcome speech to the parliamentary precinct, Pak Thae Song said that the party, the government and the people of Venezuela are achieving successes in the struggle for the victorious advance in the Bolivarian Revolution, frustrating hostile imperialist sanctions and sabotages.
He also assured that his expectation and belief that militant friendship and fraternal relations of friendship and cooperation between the two nations forged in the path of anti-imperialist independence will also invariably be strengthened in the future.
For its part, the Venezuelan constituent thanked the people and government of the Democratic Republic of Korea for their cordial hospitality and said he was deeply moved to observe the Korean people fighting victoriously against the United States and its allies.
In addition, he expressed the will of the Bolivarian Government to move forward together in socialist construction to credibly guarantee the security of humanity
Cabello arrived on Monday, September 24, in this peninsular nation accompanied by Blanca Eeckhout, Minister of People’s Power of Communes and Social Movements; Margaud Godoy, governor of Cojedes state; Rodbexa Poleo, general secretary of the Youth of the red party (JPsuv); Jesús Farías, constituent, and Mervin Maldonado, secretary of Missions and Great Missions, among other Venezuelan authorities.
The agenda of the official visit of the Venezuelan delegation included cultural activities, tours to different institutions and exchanges with representatives of the Labor Party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Republic and the central committee of the Socialist Union of Women, among others.
