Was designated new single authority of the General Staff to serve the people of Cumanacoa

In response to the devastating rainfalls caused by Hurricane Beryl, in Sucre state, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has taken immediate measures to provide support and care to the affected community, in this context, the Major General, Nayade Lockibi Belmonte, as the sole and central authority of the General Staff, in Cumanacoa, to coordinate recovery and supply efforts in the place.

In this sense, the president expressed his confidence that Belmonte will play a crucial role in the reconstruction of this entity, and declared that he is a Major General with experience in logistics and field management, who is on his way to the region to lead recovery efforts.

Likewise, to optimize care for the population, the region has been divided into three sectors: The “Peña” Zone will be under the command of Vice Admiral Luciano Francisco, of the ZODI Sucre; while near Monagas, to the south of this municipality, it will be in charge of Division General Romero Domínguez, of the ZODI Monagas. Likewise, the northern area, towards Cumanacoa, will be directed by Brigadier General Omar Enrique Pérez La Rosa.

In addition, the president emphasized the importance of the military-popular union together with the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), community leaders and street chiefs. In his own words: “You, the leaders and representatives of the People’s Power, are always with the people, caring for your neighbors.”

Likewise, the president stressed that his Government will always listen to the people to guarantee timely and effective attention. “Cumanacoa has a government that listens and loves you deeply,” he stated.

The appointment of Nayade Lockibi Belmonte, as the sole authority to serve Cumanacoa, reflects the determination of the Venezuelan Government to work tirelessly on the complete recovery of this region affected by the rains. Coordination between the military forces and local communities will be essential to overcome the challenges and fully rebuild the area.
