Bolivarian Government will create special commission to rescue the Venezuelan history

During the commemorative event of the Bicentennial of the Liberation of Puerto Cabello, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, approved the creation of a special commission made by historians, filmmakers and writers “to collect the testimony and turn it into films, documentaries and content for social networks.”

In this sense, he expressed that Venezuelans have historically been the witnesses of the resistance and heroic victory of the people:

We could create an encyclopedia of the heroic resistance and heroic victory of the people of Venezuela from 1999 to 2023. Two and a half decades of resistance and struggle,” said the Dignitary from the Bolívar Square in Puerto Cabello.

After analyzing the Venezuelan history, the President asserted that only the union, persistence and search for dignity, honor, freedom and independence, as well as the leadership of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, was “the revolutionary offensive of the Liberating Army, together with Antonio José de Sucre, against the Spanish crown.”

In that context, he recalled that 200 years ago the people of Venezuela “when we were the Great Colombia we conquered our freedom and our independence with blood and fire,” while at the same time insisting on the need to defend the Homeland from the pretenses of the enemy.
