Opposition parties acknowledge US blockade's impact in the country's economy

The constituent and also member of the Permanent Sovereignty Commission of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Basew Asfur, said Wednesday that, with the signing of the Agreement of the National Dialogue Board installed last Monday, the opposition parties join the National Government’s demand to lift the economic blockade imposed by the United States government against Venezuela.
“When the economic blockade imposed by the US empire against Venezuela is lifted, the Homeland of Bolívar will be on its way again and solve all the problems derived from the coercive and unilateral measures of the United States”, he said during the “Al Aire” (On Air) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Television (VTV).
He stressed that in this agreement, signed by four opposition parties, it is acknowledged that the application of unilateral coercive measures against the country is in violation of International Law and therefore it is a common point to demand the immediate lifting of the same.
He pointed out that the extremist opposition group is in an increasing minority and has less and less acceptance in the people and, given this, the dialogue boards will continue in order to continue providing proposals for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.
