CNE reiterates that must pass 30 days to start signature verification


The National Electoral Council (CNE) said on Sunday that it must be completed the 30 day period stipulated within the legal framework to begin the process of referendum, after the verification of signatures.
“It must meet the lapse set of 30 days for the collection of 1% of expressions of will to move to the stage of verifying” as wrote in the Twitter social network Tania D’Amelio, one of the leading authorities of the Electoral Power.
In accordance with Articles 9 and 10, paragraph 5, of the Rules Regulating the Promotion and Application of revocatory referenda must be met with 1% of firms in the standard to proceed with its verification through biometric system.
On April 26, the CNE gave the form to the activation of a presidential recall referendum requested by the organization for political purposes Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD).
