29 new Covid-19 cases detected this Sunday in Venezuela

The sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that 29 new cases, 14 women and 15 men, were registered today for a total of 256 cases of Covid-19 infections in the country.

Rodríguez explained that, of those registered, 21 cases are from Nueva Esparta state, as a result of the massive contagion that occurred in a baseball academy, located in the Pedro González valley, in Nueva Esparta state.

He explained that three of these cases correspond to people who entered through the border and five people located in Miranda state.

He also announced that starting at 8:00 p.m. this Sunday, by instructions of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, a curfew was decreed in Nueva Esparta after registering a proliferation of cases of Covid 19 in a few days.

Finally, the Sector Vice President indicated that a total of 336,169 tests have already been carried out to detect possible cases of Covid-19 infection by the Venezuelan public health system in the country.
