Authorities and workers build a new vision of social security in Venezuela


On Wednesday was held in Caracas the installation of the first National Security Congress, an event that will run for three days until Friday, with the participation of workers, members of communes, communal councils and the Productive Councils of Workers (CPT), as well as authorities of the National Government.
The goal, said the Deputy Minister of Social Security and Social Security Treasurer, Rafael Rios, responsible for the event, is to make a diagnosis of what has been achieved so far in this matter and develop a vision for the future of social security, having the 2025 Homeland Plan as a reference, the 20-30 Sustainable Development Goals and the constituent process.
During the three days of the journey, experts in public policy, administrators, public servants, trade unionists and students will participate in 50 conferences framed in four thematic areas: Development of social security in Venezuela; People’s Power and social security; Economy, finance, sustainability of social security; Globalization and social security.
Rios, who highlighted the participation of nine ministers from the area and four ambassadors at the event, commented that all those who have been “working on the community, social, economic and financial aspects; we concentrate them in the Congress and this can give rise to successive investigations and to the creation of a litter of knowledge researchers to consolidate social security in our country “.
The Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, in conversation with the Minister for the Social Process of Labor, Eduardo Piñate, during the “Trabajo en Revolución” (Work in Revolution) program, broadcast by RNVs Informative channel, said that one of the proposals that emerged during these two days of activities is the creation of a community network of social security committees, initiative that will be presented at the Congress plenary, on Friday.
