The Venezuelan State, in a statement expressed its solidarity on Monday to the people and Government of Haiti, a nation that suffered an earthquake of a magnitude of 5.9 recorded on the night of Saturday, October 6:
«The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro, on behalf of the People and Government of Venezuela, expresses his most heartfelt words of solidarity to the People and Government of Haiti, for the effects of the earthquake of magnitude 5.9 recorded on the night of Saturday, October 6, and whose epicenter was located 20 Kilometers north of Port-de-Paix and 175 Kilometers from its capital city Port-au-Prince», said the president through a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of the Republic through his Twitter account

The Bolivarian People and Government, extend their deepest condolences to Haitian families affected by this unfortunate tragedy, to whom we offer our unwavering support at this difficult time.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, provides the occasion to reiterate its unconditional support for the People and Government of the Republic of Haiti, and wishes to emphasize that, in situations like these, the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity that unite our Peoples will prevail».
