The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the Mexican people and their President elect, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), for the victory obtained in Sunday’s elections.
Through his account in the Twitter social network, the Venezuelan Head of State assured the victory obtained by López Obrador renews the hope of the Great Homeland:

In his message of greeting, the Venezuelan President said that the electoral results in Mexico signify the triumph of truth over lies.

On July 1, AMLO was elected as president of the United States of Mexico, in the general elections held in the northern American country. The campaign was marked by political violence, which highlights the murder of more than 130 candidates for different positions in popular elections, as well as the withdrawal of more than 1,000 candidates due to intimidation.
