As part of the meeting of Entrepreneurial and Productive Mothers of the Homeland, held in Anzoátegui, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the crucial role of women in Venezuelan society. The event, organized by the Great Mission Women Venezuela, served as a platform for the president to exhort the mothers present to be pioneers in the defense of sovereignty and the promotion of family unity:
“The homeland is strengthened with every action we undertake in our homes and communities,” said Maduro, before a gathering of women committed to the economic and social development of the country. During his speech he highlighted the importance of the Great Mission Women Venezuela as an engine for the empowerment and economic independence of Venezuelan women.
The head of state emphasized the need to maintain cohesion within the family as the basis for a strong and united nation: “The family is the first space where love for the country is cultivated,” he said.
President Maduro concluded his participation, and reiterated his confidence in the women of Venezuela as agents of change and unity: “You have in your hands the power to transform our society. Let’s continue working together for a prosperous and peaceful Venezuela.” Thus he marked a call to action for the defense and progress of the nation.
