President Maduro ordered to activate 20,000 humanized birth promoters by July

In an effort to strengthen support for women during pregnancy, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the activation of 20,000 new promoters for the Humanized Birth Plan, during the Great Meeting of Entrepreneurial and Productive Mothers of the Homeland, in Anzoátegui, where the national president, through a television link with Táchira state, followed up on the installation of the “Matronatación” Gestational Support Circle, in the “Leonardo Ruiz Pineda” Recreational Park.

In this sense, with the aim of expanding care coverage, the head of state instructed that the induction and preparation workshops necessary to integrate the 20,000 promoters be completed in July, in extension of the support network to all municipalities and parishes in the country. Currently, the program has 8,000 promoters trained and ready to provide their service.

President Maduro urged continued work at all levels of the Great Mission Women Venezuela, for the integral development of women and their projects in the country, which includes everything from the health sector to the economic sector.

Likewise, one of the promoters of this initiative, Luisana Landazal, during the day, highlighted the importance that this program has to offer integral support during pregnancy, by promoting breastfeeding and parenting practices with respect. In addition, she expressed her gratitude to the social policies of the Bolivarian Government that provide protection to women in this crucial phase. This movement is part of the first vertex of the Great Mission Women Venezuela, which seeks to empower Venezuelan women and ensure a dignified and comfortable birth process.
