The violent events that took place between April and July of the year 2017, were financed by groups linked to the Venezuelan opposition, said on Monday the member of the Commission for Truth, Justice and Peace, Soraya El Achkar.
“There is a lot of evidence in the investigation that local opposition governments financed the violent groups that ended the lives of the people”, she said.
She indicated that the investigation carried out by the Support Network for Justice and Peace, collected 142 cases of fatal victims during the “guarimbas” (riots), of which more than 50% did not participate in these demonstrations, they only were passing through the place.
She stressed that the work of Venezuelan society is to ensure that these events do not happen again.
