A call for unity and steadfastness in the face of threats against Venezuela, was made this Sunday by the People’s Power Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, during the act of passing of command of the new Heads of Strategic Integral Defense Regions (REDI).
In his speech, the military official urged the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to remain alert against the plans to attack the institution as part of the destabilizing agenda maintained by Venezuelan right-wing sectors.
Padrino López instructed the Operational Strategic Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB) to create light units of special action to face the new political threats that could cross the country.
“We must direct efforts towards the creation of light units of special action, which must be able to adapt to any situation that may present in the territory; that is the direction of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces before these new scenarios of political violence, of psychological, economic warfare, isolation and international siege”, he said.
In his speech, he emphasized that the new Bolivarian military doctrine has been successful due to the humanistic character and principles that were strengthened by the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, through his conviction for leadership, doctrinal leadership, and organization and maintenance of military equipment.
