Cuba and Venezuela work to optimize cooperation agreement this 2018

Jorge Arreza, Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, said that Venezuela and Cuba have always been on the right path of bilateral cooperation.

“Every feeling of love that we have expressed is a message of true union and integration,” he said during his speech at the 18th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Cuba-Venezuela Integral Cooperation Agreement, held in Havana on Thursday.

The Chancellor affirmed that solidarity is what characterizes the revolutions when they are true and socialist, for which he indicated that it is a privilege and a tribute to Commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro each signing of the agreement between Venezuela and Cuba.

“It has been a wonderful experience that has been transforming; we know that 2018 will be extraordinary and the successive years will be better, the world circumstances also take us in that direction”, he said.

Arreaza said that: “In 2018 our work will lead us to this agreement to be extraordinary and so on for years to come.” “It is satisfying to see how today in Venezuela you get to a health module and you can meet a Venezuelan or Cuban doctor, and that is a sign that we were always on the right track, because what will allow us to make sustainable all social policies that have been promoted through the agreement, is the transfer of knowledge and love”, said Arreaza.

Finally, he said that there are no words to express the gratitude of the Venezuelan people for all the help from Cuba.

For his part, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, announced that they have a cooperation program for 2018 that is much more efficient and focused on priorities.
