President Maduro reiterates willingness to dialogue with the US

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated on Tuesday his willingness to dialogue with the Government of the United States, to set aside differences and move forward in alliance for the country’s economic prosperity:
“Let’s talk, I have told this to President Donald Trump in all ways: If one day would be open the possibility of a dialogue, of understanding, respectful, among equals, I would be willing to shake your hand, to move forward and overcome this whole stage”, said the president during an interview with Max Blumenthal, an American journalist, of the independent news website dedicated to original investigative journalism and policy analysis, The Grayzone.
In that sense, he mentioned his hopes are on the permanent board of dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition that is carried out with the support of Norway.
“It is our central approach in Barbados, with an agenda that goes beyond the juncture. The opposition can request and propose what it wants and can move forward in agreements, we can ask and propose those we want and we can move forward in partial agreements on different economic issues, to request and demand the lifting of the blockade and sanctions, for the social attention and protection of the people, partial agreements to guarantee everything for an election where we participate all for the renewal of the Venezuelan parliament”, he said.
